Creating an account

You can sign up for GearLend as a renter, a gear owner, or both — the same account works for either side of the marketplace.

To sign up​

  1. Go to the GearLend homepage and select Sign up.
  2. Enter your email address and create a password, or sign up using a supported social login if one is offered.
  3. Fill out your profile — a profile photo and a short bio help build trust with other members, especially if you plan to list gear.
  4. Verify your email address using the link GearLend sends you.

Before you can book​

Creating an account gets your profile set up, and you can create listings right away as a gear owner. To book a rental as a renter, though, you'll need to complete identity verification first. See Why GearLend verifies identity for details.

Updating your profile​

You can update your profile details, photo, and contact information at any time from your account settings.
